The 2025 KMEA (Kentucky Music Education Association) Professional Development Conference was held in person from February 5–8, 2025 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY. Muhlenberg County High School had three choral students qualify and one band student qualify against thousands of students across the state. Congratulations to Ella Wood as an alto one, Isaiah Ball as a bass one, Noah Embrey as a tenor two, and John Gossar as a tuba player.

All students got the chance to perform at the Kentucky Center for the Arts' Whitney Hall. The choral students performed Friday evening, February 7th, at 8 pm. Mr. Gossar performed at 1 pm on Saturday, February 8th.

The mission of KMEA shall be to advance the cause of music education throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky by encouraging the study and making of music by all of the population and by serving as a strong advocate for issues affecting the accomplishment of that mission.

Thank you to our choral director, Melanie Smith, and band director, Joel Watson, for supporting these talented students.
