Bremen's first Celebration of Learning took place Tuesday evening. Students practiced their effective communication skills by sharing their various learning projects with families. They also showed they are empowered learners by sharing learning goals and assessment data.
Kentucky Shakespeare visited Central City Elementary this morning and presented to 4th and 5th grade students. Students traveled throughout the history of Kentucky.

It's National School Counseling Week and we are thankful for the work our counselors and psychologists do on a daily basis to help address mental health needs of our students while helping them achieve school success and plan for a career.
All Muhlenberg County Schools will begin on a two-hour delay tomorrow, February 3. Elementary schools will begin at 9:25 AM, middle schools will begin at 10:25 AM, and high school will begin at 10:20 AM. Some bus routes may be modified and bus drivers will be reaching out to any affected families.
Due to the hazardous road conditions on side streets and back roads, all Muhlenberg County Schools will be closed again tomorrow, Thursday, February 2. This will be NTI Day #4. Students should have NTI packets and/or instructions. Thank you.

Then consider the Kentucky Forest Leadership Program where you can explore the many aspects of forestry and related fields. If you like hands-on learning in the great outdoors then this program is for you. This week-long, residential program is designed for high school students. Because of weather, all after school activities for Muhlenberg County Schools are cancelled today. This includes both away games.
STAND members met for their January meeting this morning and focused on "New Year, New Me." Mr. Derrick Benton, MCHS Guidance Counselor, spoke to the group about resolutions and challenged them to focus on what they want to be in becoming a better version of themselves.
All staff at Central City Elementary School participated in school safety training today after school. The training was provided by our own district SRO team. Safety is our top priority across the school district.
