6th grade gifted and talented students from Muhlenberg South Middle School created, donated, organized, and delivered "care bags" to the Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital Thursday, May 9th. These bags were created to help ease the fear of young children admitted to the emergency room due to an unforeseen event. Students created bags with stuffed animals, toys, games, puzzles, and cards to give to children so they know others are thinking of them and wishing them the best. This community service project was created to teach students the importance of being an engaged citizen in their community.
