Muhlenberg County High School held a Peer Buddy Prom today for some very special students. From great food by the culinary class to lots of photos and dancing, the multipurpose room was filled with several smiles! Thanks to all who helped with this great event!

Madisonville Community College together with Murray State University have named the 2024 Excellence in Teaching Award recipients. The purpose of this award is to recognize quality teaching in schools and to strengthen the field of education. Three outstanding individuals from our district were nominated and have been named...

Attention sports families...there are opportunities coming up to get a free sports physical for any middle school or high school student. Baptist Health Deaconess is offering free sports physicals on April 24 from 3:30-5:30 PM. Community Health Centers of Western Kentucky is offering free sports physicals on May 21 from 8 AM - 4 PM here in the county. Please see attached flyers for more information.


The Board of Education recognized the FFA Land Judging Team from Muhlenberg County High School at last night's board meeting. This group of students placed 2nd at regional and then placed 1st at state. They will be heading to nationals in Oklahoma at the end of next week. Congratulations Trace Harper, Jonah Jordan, Courtney Drenon, and Addyson Fleming. Special thanks to their FFA sponsor, Kirsten Oates.

Longest Elementary held their Destress for Success Family Event yesterday. Students and families enjoyed a variety of stations centered around our health and mindfulness. Thank you to all who helped. Here are a few pics capturing the event.

Our district is partnering with WKU again for the Grow Your Own program. This program provides an opportunity for our classified employees to earn a teaching degree through WKU. We also have the partnership with the Martin Foundation to provide further assistance for the individual portion of the cost. For the 2024-2025 school year, the district has chosen Jessica Latham from Central City Elementary, Krystal Hambrick from Muhlenberg South Elementary, and Ashley Southerland from Muhlenberg County High School. Congratulations!


Bremen Elementary had a special visitor this morning to deliver the Poppy's Leadership Award from WBKO and Flora Templeton Stuart. During the assembly, WBKO 13 videoed a short interview and it will air this Friday morning on Channel 13. Congratulations, Bremen Elementary!

Our first EL Family Night is in the books! We had lots of fun playing games and spending time with our English language learners and their families. Thank you to all who attended.










Muhlenberg County Schools has purchased solar eclipse glasses for all students and staff to be used on Monday, April 8. If you DO NOT want your student participating by observing this event, please contact your student’s school by end of the school day this Thursday, March 28.

The Jr. Beta Club of Muhlenberg North Middle had a number of members to compete at a leadership summit as well as the state convention and qualified to compete at nationals this summer.
