Family Resource and Youth Service Centers were created by the Kentucky Educational Reform Act (KERA) in 1991. There are over 700 centers in Kentucky.
Family Resource Centers serve pre-school to 5th grade, while Youth Service Centers serve 6th - 12th grades.
The Longest Family Resource Center serves all students enrolled at Longest Elementary School and their families.
The FRC serves as a link between the families, school, and the community to reduce barriers to a child's success in school.

We are always in need of:
Gently used clothing of all sizes
Baby items (clothing, car seats, diapers, wipes, etc.)
Toiletry Items (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, towels, brushes, etc.)
Non-perishable food items (canned goods, boxed goods, rice, pasta, snack foods, etc.)
