Today is School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day and Muhlenberg County Schools has a great group of officers working within our schools each day. Thank you, SROs, for making a difference in our schools and community!

All Muhlenberg County Schools will operate under normal schedule tomorrow. We can't wait to see all of your students and staff!

There will be no school on Monday, January 22, 2024. Several of our backroads are still covered in snow and ice. This will be NTI Day #5 for Muhlenberg County Schools.

January is National School Board Recognition Month. We are thankful for our board members for all they do. They are responsible for making decisions aimed at ensuring that every child in our district as well as each employee has a chance to succeed in school, at work, and in life. Mrs. Mefford's Culinary Class at MCHS visited Muhlenberg South Elementary's first graders today. High school students helped first graders create spooky snacks and shared a few stories with them. Check out these engaged citizens...

From bouncy houses and painted faces to pumpkin decorating contests and color-sprayed hair, three of our elementary schools are hosting fall festivals today. Bremen Elementary, Greenville Elementary, and Muhlenberg South Elementary have lots of smiling faces as our students enjoy having fun! Thank you to all of our staff, families, and volunteers who have helped to make this an exciting day. The community is invited to attend any of these this evening.

We remember...

MSES Kindergarten Open House is today Tuesday, August 1st from 5-7:00 p.m. There is not a set schedule. Parents are free to come and go as they please. Bus drivers and the cafeteria manager will be in the cafeteria. Parents will sign in at their child's classroom in the Purple Pod.

Books Beat the Summer Slide. Books and Cream will take place at the MSES Media Center today, June 19th, starting at 10:00. All school year 2023-24 incoming K-5th grade MSES students will get to check out a book and receive a free book. The second session will be on July 10th. Come join in the fun!

The school is accepting nominations for parent representatives to serve one year on the School Based Decision-Making council at MSES. Any parent with a child attending MSES during the 2023-24 school year is eligible to run for SBDM. Please read the form wea are sending home this afternoon. Nominations due Monday.

We will have our yearbook signing day on Monday, May15th for those parents who want to allow their student to participate. Mrs. McDonald in our Media Center has two remaining yearbooks for sale at $25.00 each.
