The Mustang Battalion at MCHS presented a Superintendent Orientation this morning for Superintendent Orr and Mr. Ken Carver. The presentation included details of the Mustang Battalion and the variety of programs/activities/events they experience throughout the year.

Congratulations to our MCHS Relay team. They competed at the State Competition in Louisville this morning in the 4X800. Aidan Bilbro, Landon Groves, Jake Strader and Bryce Revo finished 3rd place at the Indoor Track and Field. Great race, only 5 seconds behind the winner!

Due to heavy wind and thunderstorms moving our way, all Muhlenberg County Schools will be closed today, March 3. This will be NTI Day #5. Students should access their classes via Google Classroom and on regular schedule. Teachers will be available to students in case any help is needed. Everyone stay safe.

Everyone head over to the O'boro Sportscenter!! Our girls have a big matchup against Owensboro tonight at 7:45. The winner advances to play in the semi-finals on Friday night. Tickets are still available. It's a big night for our school and our girls' program. If you are unable to make it, it will be broadcast on 107.3 FM. Go Lady Mustangs!!!!!

Mr. Jay McElwain's Ag Structure and Design Classes have been working extremely hard to build this outdoor structure and making terrific progress. Each year they get the opportunity for hands on training in this class. Great job students! Keep Doing the Work!

The MCHS Academic Team placed 2nd in Regional Quick Recall! Competition consisted of 8 schools. MCHS beat the (former) powerhouse Madisonville North Hopkins 🤣 in the semifinals to play University Heights Academy in the regional championship. MCHS lost to UHA 28/20 earning 2nd Place in Quick Recall. In written assessments: -Jacob Whitehouse 3rd in Region /Science -Cooper Dietrich 5th in Region/Math The students are VERY excited and we’re very proud of their performance.

Our Boys did a Great job!! The Relay teams improved on their times. Very proud of this group of boys!! We will truly miss our Sr.’s Thank you boys for the ride!! Here is a little glimpse of our boys doing what they love.

MCHS Fine Arts Department has definitely been "Doing The Work"! We are so proud of the following students for making it to the finalists round: Rebecca Scott in Drama and Vocal Music Willow Strader for Creative Writing Parker Yingling in Drama Isaiah Ball in Vocal Music Taylor Dukes in Musical Theatre Best of luck to all FIVE of our GSA Finalists as they head to the final round.

Baseball and Softball tryouts will be Monday, Feb. 13. Baseball will start at 3:30 at the hitting facility and softball will start at 3:45 at the field. Everyone must have proof of current physical in order to participate.
